Program

The Bob Johnson youth hockey school offers one summer session in Vail, from July 18 - 24, 2010. School participants will be divided into three groups with each group receiving three “on ice” sessions daily (minimum of 3 hours “on ice”per day). In addition, a daily video & lecture session will be presented by the coaching staff. Special individual instruction times will be provided for goalies. Top qualified instructors will aid in developing and improving hockey skills. Fundamentals of power skating, shooting, passing and stick handling will be emphasized as well as sportsmanship and team work. All players, regardless of ability, will see equal action in camp hockey games. Click here to download the program Brochure.

Camp enrollment is limited so reserve your place now! Tuition is only $445.00 for the 7 day camp (local discounts available - $420.00 for Eagle County Residents and $400.00 for Vail Residents). Special goalie tuition $175.00. Complete the attached registration and medical release form and mail to:

Requirements

It is required that all participants be at least seven years of age (as of 7-20-10) and have one year of organized hockey experience. All players are to be fully equipped as prescribed by USA HOCKEY regulations. Don’t forget to bring a helmet with full facemask, internal mouth guard, practice jersey and a lock.

Cancellations

All requests for cancellations must be made in writing! A $30.00 cancellation fee will be charged to cover administrative costs. No refunds will be issued after June 18th, and you will lose your tuition.

Housing

Housing is not provided by the Hockey School, however, accommodation information and reservations can be arranged with the Vail Resort Association (number listed below). The free shuttle bus travels throughout the Vail area and stops directly in front of the arena. Parking facilities are also available adjacent to the arena.

Travel

Vail and the Dobson Ice Arena are located 100 miles west of Denver and can be easily reached by taking a scenic drive along Interstate 70 in the heart of the Rockies.
